Sam Pre-Diet

Sam Giberson is a founding partner of Lightfin Studios and can usually be found developing websites with his old friends XHTML, CSS and JS. A graduate from the University of New Hampshire’s, Whittemore School of Business & Economics, he’s worked as a web developer and search engine strategist for the past ten years. When Sam isn’t developing code that even IE6 falls in love with, he is dreaming about retiring to focus on his second career, professional golf. Hopefully by the time he retires, shooting twelve over par will be good enough to make a few cuts.

Sam grew up in Exeter and has lived in southern New Hampshire for 99% of his life. He only ventured past the borders for a brief period in 1986 when he moved with his family to the beautiful seaside town of Bay Head, NJ. Despite enjoying his time in NJ, he still holds a grudge against his family for the disastrous 1986 World Series. He thinks had he been “home” in New England, his tremendous love of the Red Sox would have helped propel them to victory in game seven.

Random Stuff You Don’t Care About:
  • Sam was the first baby born in NH in 1978 and has felt a sense of entitlement since that time. He has never produced documentation proving such a claim, but he maintains that he entered the world at 12:16AM on January 1st, 1978 in Portsmouth Hospital.
  • At six months of age his doctor put him on a diet because his head was the size of a basketball and he out-weighed his three year old sister.
  • Hit an inside the park home run in his first at bat in little league. I know what you’re thinking, but there were no errors on the play…at least not the way he remembers it.
  • Survived first night in New York City in 1997/1998 despite temperatures dropping to thirteen below zero and no access to bathrooms.
  • Passed out during a fifth grade chorus performance. Upon regaining consciousness wasn’t sure whether to be more embarrassed about passing out or the pink cummerbund he was wearing.
