The Greatest American Hero

The Greatest American Hero

Dave’s career path to become a designer has been a strange one and if not for the intervention of fate it might not have even happened. For many years Dave’s creativity had laid dormant.  It started back in his junior year of high school when he took second place in his art class’s Paper Mache contest.  In the back of his mind he felt that his bust of Larry Bird deserved the first place ribbon that was instead awarded to the girl who made a simple little teddy bear. Since that time he vowed to never open the door to his creative side again. Then one day 4 years back while he was skipping rocks along the Cocheco River he saw the light.  It was dim at first and Dave thought it might be an UFO.  As it got closer the light intensified and Dave realized it was not an UFO but instead it was the pearly whites of DJ Haskin’s smile. DJ approached Dave, his perfect hair blowing in the wind, and said to him, “Dave we want you to become part of our team”.  DJ explained to Dave that he, Sean Reusch, and Sam Giberson had joined forces to create the hottest new creative agency the world had ever seen and they were looking for creative people to help in their efforts.  Dave was hesitant at first because he had repressed any creative thought for so many years, but the idea of working with three extremely gifted and highly motivated people made him come around.  Flash forward four years and Dave is still working side by side with this incredible team.  He often goes back to that same river bank along the Cocheco where DJ first discovered him and he wonders where he would be today if it were not for that fateful day 4 years ago and a smile forms on his face because he realizes the gift he was given.
